Presented at Industrial Tech Forum 2025:
Batteries from Biowaste
The team uses carbon-rich biowaste (food, animal, etc.) and converts it into a material used as an anode in their batteries, thus replacing the need for a lithium anode. The prototypes they have created, tested, and are presenting at the forum are button-type batteries, but in the future, they plan to produce AA and AAA batteries as well.
