22 October, Saturday
10:00 AM-5:00 PM
FPV drone racing
Indoor track on an area of 1300 sq.m. Standard obstacles under BFA rules (luminous).
Drone races are held with racing drones that were designed and assembled by the pilots themselves, which have to go the fastest through a pre-arranged obstacle course. The flying devices are required to not only to develop high speed, but also to have the necessary maneuverability to overcome the different types of obstacles. The focus here is on pilots’ skills: their quick adaptability to the terrain and good knowledge of their vehicles is the key to success. The models are equipped with FPV cameras. Pilots fly with FVR goggles. The drones reach speeds of over 180 km/h. Two or three models are flown. The ranking depends on the most laps completed in a fixed time. Penalty points are assessed for each obstacle missed or incorrectly cleared.

In the finals, the order is by best qualification and the ranking is on a 2 out of 3 basis (best two finishes from the three starts). Off-road competition is for 1:10 free style models buggy, truggy, monster, brushed motors, brushless motors, 7.2 – 7.4V power supply. Same race format as other races.
